Can I share my Netflix account with others?

That feature is now locked in the ‘extra members’ add-on – which allows the primary Netflix user to share their account with someone who doesn’t live with them for a monthly fee. This is only available for Netflix Standard or Premium tiers.
The mainstream Netflix user, however, can still watch Netflix on the go away from their home – whether abroad, commuting or elsewhere.
When do Netflix password sharing restrictions start?
At the moment, it appears to be a gradual process. Starting May 23, Netflix it was announced it will start sending emails to subscribers who use the service away from home. Basically: watch this space – and check your inbox.
How to Add Extra Members on Netflix
There are several ways to add extra members on Netflix so they can use your account too.
You can buy an extra member slot through Netflix Extra Member Page in a web browser. The option is also available on your Netflix account page. Once there, you can set up an extra member slot and also decide whether you want to provide them with a completely new account or transfer their own Netflix profile from their previous account.
Fill in the information, including the person’s email address. They will receive a code to sign up as your extra member.
You can also add extra members through Smart TVs. You’ll get a prompt that says ‘to continue sharing with someone who doesn’t live with you, add an extra member’. Follow the instructions and give the person’s phone number. They will receive a text to allow them to sign up as part of your account.
How much does it cost to add extra members on Netflix?
Extra members are $7.99 a month each in the US and £4.99 a month in the UK. The total cost – including your current Netflix subscription – must be paid by the primary account holder.

Why can’t I add extra Netflix subscribers?
There are several reasons why you might not be able to add extra subscribers on Netflix. First, there’s a limit – only two people can be added (and only one if you’re on a Standard plan). Currently, Netflix does not allow more than that.
There are still other restrictions: The extra member must also reside in the same country as the main account holder; you can only add extra members twice in the same billing period; you can’t add an extra member if you’ve canceled your subscription, and you can’t add an extra member if you pay through a third party – like a phone plan.
How many people can I share my Netflix account with?
Standard users can only share their Netflix account with one other person. The Premium tier, however, allows you to share your Netflix account – via extra members – with two people.
Can I continue sharing Netflix in my home?
Yes, you can continue to share your Netflix account across multiple devices in the same household. Little mercies and everything.
